Inbound Marketing

When a company promotes themselves by using social media marketing with links to their site or upload podcasts with links or use other content marketing forms to gain links in to a specific web page or product it is considered inbound marketing.

Inbound refers to the activity of bringing people in and attempts to make a company or product easy to find by advertising links to it in the highest number of different forums that is possible. Live chat functions on web pages are also forms of inbound marketing because the link to the chat takes the user to a customer service representative for the purpose of ordering a product or for product clarification. Inbound marketing could contain a link to the site or a telephone number or email address that more information can be gained from.
