Product bundles are highly popular with businesses that sell more than one product which could be used in conjunction with one another. The most common example of a product bundle are the offers that internet companies will give to customers that include a telephone line, television channels and internet connection for much cheaper than each could be individually bought for.

The bundle price is discounted to induce a larger spend per customer and to optimize the conversion potential. Bundles often offer a special discount rate for a set amount of time with a rise of the normal fee after such time period, thus making the bundle a loss leader for the beginning provision.
